A sustainable solution

Filling the pool with mains water

We recommend filling the pool with mains water. Rainwater or, for example, groundwater can give rise to unexpected reactions (such as turning the water brown) with pool chemicals. Information on the quality of mains water (including water hardness) can be obtained from your water supplier. Before you start adding chlorine to the water, it’s important to ensure that the pH of the water is between 7.2 and 7.6. You can test the pH with a swimming pool water testing kit. In the Netherlands, the pH of mains water is usually around 7.8. If need be, you should use pH Minus to lower the pH or pH Plus to raise the pH.

Dissolution time of chlorine

The dissolution time of the tablets will vary according to the dosing method. With a chlorine floater, the dissolution time of an 8-gramme tablet can be less than one day. This indication depends on factors such as the pump filter system and the way in which the chlorine floater is placed in the pool.

Dosing schedule

The dosing schedule contains various information to help you determine the recommended continuous dosage for your swimming pool. You can choose the type and appropriate size of the pool. The m³ volume of a swimming pool is a major factor in determining the chlorine dosage. The chlorine content of the swimming pool should be between 2 and 5 ppm. We recommend adding chlorine to the water in the evening after swimming. Never add chlorine tablets directly to the water – always use a chlorine floater or chlorine feeder. When chlorine comes into direct contact with your pool, the pool liner may discolour.

Please note!

The indicated quantities of pH Minus that need to be added to your pool are a recommendation and no rights may be derived from this recommendation. There are many different influences, including sun, rain, storms and the degree of pool use, that can cause the appropriate dosage to differ from the recommendation. It is not possible to give a fixed quantity for all situations. Experience will tell you what the best dosage is for your pool.

Warning!

Do not allow children to come into contact with swimming pool chemicals. Always follow the instructions on the packaging. Never mix two different brands or types of chemical.
